Elizabeth A. Thompson, Ph.D.
Elizabeth is the Founder and Senior Litigation Consultant of Thompson Litigation Consulting, based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Over the past 15 years, she has consulted on a wide range of cases including securities litigation, complex commercial disputes, intellectual property cases, environmental litigation, pharmaceutical litigation and corporate governance issues. Elizabeth has assisted both plaintiff and defense teams with thematic case development, pre-trial research, jury selection, and graphics. Drawing on her academic expertise in how individuals and groups cope under stress, Elizabeth has focused particular attention on working with key witnesses in preparation for deposition and trial. Elizabeth has been a trial consultant in New York, San Francisco and the Twin Cities, and she has extensive experience in the major courts of California, New York, Texas, and New Jersey.
Elizabeth earned a B.A. in English and American Studies at St. Olaf College, and a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to her consulting career, Elizabeth was a professor of Family Studies at Miami University, in Oxford, Ohio.
