    2. Approve: Minutes of FY19 February Meeting
Motion: Jim Dorsey, 2nd: Pete Cochrane; approved.
  1. Joe: Questions on Executive Director’s Report
    1. Board discussion re: status of grant applications.
  2. Joey: Questions on Marketing and Development Manager’s Report
    1. Reported When I Grow Up ticket sales were disappointing given the strong program.
    2. Board discussion re: possibility to reprise program.
      1. Joe reported potential summer project with MPR/APM centered around mental health, pulling content from When I Grow Up and Alone Together.
  3. David: Treasurer’s report
    1. Accept: March financials
Motion: David Niles, 2nd: Patricia Kirkpatrick; accepted.
  1. Reported 2020 Budget is underway, currently shows deficit but committee is optimistic
    1. Finance Committee will review draft budget at June meeting, to be passed on to the full board. Anticipates request to approve final budget at July meeting.
  2. Board discussion re: discrepancy in individual giving numbers.
  1. Pete: Governance Committee Update
    1. Anticipates need to fill 7 director slots at end of fiscal year, including two singer members.
      1. Governance committee has requested departing members recommend their own replacements, and is also cultivating a list of other possible new members.
    2. Reported committee strategies to diversify board organically, rather than targeting specific members of diverse communities.
    3. Board discussion re: Board Repair and Minnesota Council of Nonprofits offerings around board diversity and other opportunities to cultivate new members.
    4. Board discussion re: possibility of offering board membership to non-local individuals.
      1. Possible advisory committee? Would give opportunity to others who would otherwise be considered too busy.
  2. Joey/Brock: Cantus Idol Update
    1. Provided an update on ticket sales.
    2. Gave overview of this year’s auction items.
    3. Reported new sponsorship with Summit Brewing.
  3. Beth Anne: Discussion of Focus Groups
    1. Provided summary of group demographics and general overview of findings.
    2. Board discussion re: ways the findings can/will be utilized going forward.
    3. Board thanked Beth Anne for her work on project.
