- Expressed concern about safety of singers, staff, patrons.
- Joe gave overview of Ordway’s policy and how decision was made to go ahead.

- Determined that a “no refund” policy should be explicitly stated next season.

- Described grant funding that will hit the books this season, but is allocated for 2018–19.
- Reported an unsolicited $5,000 gift from Surdna Foundation.
- Wendy suggested contacting Tim Thorpe to cultivate that connection.
- Cantus to sing national anthem at Twins game on 7/6; will be paired with a donor cultivation event at the game.
- Described results of live recording promotion for spring show.
- Reported an employment offer has been extended to a new singer who is a Mexican citizen; visa application in progress.

- Reported YTD foundation amount reflects McKnight $60K; $30K actually allocated to FY19 but is presented this way for accounting purposes.
- Board discussion: Could McKnight pay early? It could potentially solve the fall cashflow problem.

- Reported the finance committee has reviewed a preliminary budget.
- Will present to the board once a few variables have been finalized
- Joe will also factor in 3% salary increases and determine feasibility

- Reported September through December still looks lean.
- Identified factors that might resolve the cashflow issues in the fall.
- Board discussion re: changes in budget trends over past few years.
- Brock/Joey: Engagement Committee Update
- Joey reported Individual Giving is tracking ahead of this time last year, but response to most recent direct mailing has been disappointing.
- Summarized responses to last month’s donor survey, which had a 12% response rate.
- Reported For the Beauty of the Earth ended run at 111% to goal.
- Star Tribune review helped boost sales
- Goldstar promotion

- Reported ticket sales are behind. Requested board members reach out to networks for potential attendees, and ensure they are represented at IDOL, either in person or by proxy.
