2. Approve: Minutes of FY17 March Meeting

Motion: Craig Shulstad; 2nd Noel McCormick; approved.

1. Chris: Artistic Report
   1. Reported that Paul Scholtz will be returning from vocal rest.
   2. Summarized successful tour to NY and PA.
   3. Updated board on status of eOne recording created last summer.
   4. Distributed and discussed summary of new evaluation process for Cantus programs. 
2. Joe: Executive Director Report
   1. Reported that Cantus has entered the tightest period of cash flow, but expressed optimism.
   2. Explained process for renewing the terms of NAF loan.
   3. Reported that Cantus has applied for MSAB Arts Access funding.
   4. Reported that Sweet Honey in the Rock has not signed contract.
3. Approve: NAF Corporate Borrowing Resolution (as included in board materials)

Motion: Chuck Peterson; 2nd Jonathan Guyton; approved.

1. Chuck: Treasurer’s Report
   1. Expect cash flow to improve after Cantus Idol.
   2. Discussed projected loss of $57K, based on current financials.
      1. Romeo and Juliet will cause a paper loss of $35K.
      2. Because a new CD was not released this year, CD sale revenue will also contribute to loss.
   3. Summarized meeting with Athwin Foundation to discuss $100K proposal.
2. Accept: FY17 March Financials

1. Noel/Brock/Carly: Engagement Committee Update
   1. Provided update on Idol auction item packages.
   2. Discussed pledges secured for Idol fund-a-need.
   3. Reported that tickets sales are still under goal, but that we have enough time for more sales.
   4. Reported that Summit Brewery will provide beer hall for pre-Covers event.
   5. Thanked Karl for creating a survey for subscribers who did not renew this year; reported healthy response to survey.
2. Pete: Governance Committee Update
   1. Provided update on recruiting new board members.
   2. Reviewed Kevin Stocks bio.
3. Approve: Kevin Stocks as Cantus board member

1. Wendy: Board/Singer/Staff Retreat Plan
   1. Conveyed plan to meet in fall 2017 for strategic thinking retreat.
