- Finance Committee Update
- Committee will place a request for proposal out for the audit and review responses. Board will review in September.
- Cash Flow Update
- September will present a challenge.
- Engagement Committee plans to ask board to make payments on annual pledges early in the fiscal year to aid cash flow situation.
- Cash flow projection will be presented to the board monthly.
- Finance Committee Update
- Accept: FY16 June Financials
- Mentioned great progress made in terms of individual giving and contributed revenue.
- Acknowledged receipt of MSAB Operating Grant.
- Finance Committee hopes and projects that the shortfall will be slightly reduced by the end of fiscal year.
- Chuck: Review Proposed FY17 Budget
- Finance Committee walked through each line item at recent meeting.
- Compared FY16 Budget and FY16 YTD with FY17 Budget.
- Discussed whether or not to budget for a surplus and the options available to do so.
- Approve: Final FY17 Budget with 1% or $11K surplus
- Finance Committee will review options for budgeting to a surplus and return a final budget in August.
- Chris: Artistic Update
- Discussed new album preview concert.
- Read email of praise from donor regarding the concert.
- Discussed progress of new album recording and collaboration with eOne.
- Discussed workshop presentation with University of St. Thomas students at the Science Museum.
- Discussed ongoing conversations with Chanticleer about artistic content of the October performance.
- Discussed new album preview concert.
- Pete: Governance Update
- Approve: Amendment to Cantus Bylaw Regarding Singer Board Member terms
- Approve: 2nd term board members – Katie Berg, Jim Dorsey, Brock Metzger, Chris Foss
- Approve: 1st term board members – Katie Imholte and Paul Scholtz
- Approve: Election of Jeff Reed as Vice Chair
- Noel/Carly: Engagement/Fundraising Update
