FY15 October Director of Marketing and Finance
Tim J. Peterson
October 21, 2014
Financial
- Line of Credit/Cash flow
o Nonprofits Assistance renewed with a increased limit of $100k
o NAF understands our business model and the difference in need was clear, so there weren’t any issues with the increased line
o Currently fully drawn
o Cash flow will remain tight until the first leg of the All Is Calm tour in mid-November
- Audit
o Working on end of year clean up for FY14
o Audit fieldwork: November 20 and 21
o Audit and 990 will be reviewed by the Finance Committee in January and presented at the January board meeting
2014-2015 Season
- Subscription sales as of 10/19/14:
o 464 subscriptions for $46,080
o As of last year, we had sold 505 subscriptions for $42,010
o About 65% of packages are 3 concert; (last year at this point was 57%)
o We’ll do another brochure mailing next week to push 3 concert package
- Anthem:
o Although we got a great review, it ran on Saturday without a photo so it didn’t have the sales impact that we’ve seen with some other reviews.
o A beautiful October afternoon worked against walk up at Trinity
o We’re currently at 71% of goal, with about 360 tickets to go
o Colonial and St. Bart’s are typically good walk up crowds, but this concert run will likely end short of goal.
- Christmas with Cantus:
o Selling well, about 70 tickets and $4k ahead of last year at this point
- The Singing Revolution:
o Ordway doing very well, we’ll see lots of extra promotion around this performance and it has strong upside potential
- Covers:
o Sales are even with last year at this point
- Overall:
o Almost 42% of goal for the season
New Recording: A Harvest Home
- Sales of the new recording have been strong at home concerts
- Featured on WQXR as “Album of the Week”
- WFMT (Chicago), WXXI (Rochester, NY) and Alabama Public Radio are confirmed to use the CD as pledge premiums
