June 2014
National bookings and national publicity
- Currently we are at $399,300 for confirmed bookings in FY15 with $38,500 ready to be contracted for a total of $437,800. Our agreed upon goal in FY15 is $475,000.
- We discussed our revenue goal in our June call with AAM and RDPR and they will be working over the summer to pick up additional dates to meet this goal.
- AAM requested more information on programming and at an earlier date than they are currently getting in order to get it to venues. We will be working to catch up to this over the summer.
Individual Giving (may include Kickstarter)
- See Contributed Income Dashboard for update.
- A June letter went out on the 16th. Historically this has been a very successful mailing for us.
- July effort will be led by Noel and Shahzore; watch for more details.
Foundation/Government grants
- See Contributed income dashboard.
HR
- New singers began June 16. Orientation took place on June 17. Great to have the new energy in the room!
Audience Impact Project
- Also called “Intrinsic Impact Project.” The 20 participating choruses from across the country met at Chorus America in DC for an orientation with project leaders WolfBrown in mid-June.
- WolfBrown is the owner of this data collection, analysis and reporting system.
- From their website: At the heart of our work is the belief that every human being has a unique creative voice of intrinsic worth and that every community has a responsibility to awaken, nurture, and sustain its cultural capital. The guiding philosophy of our work is engagement – engaging nonprofit leadership, their funders, and stakeholders in honest discussions about effectiveness and value, engaging audiences and visitors in deeper and more meaningful experiences, and engaging whole communities in the bold act of envisioning their future.
- This project is a significant investment of our time and resources. There is much to come from it, but will need full support of staff, ensemble and board.
- Please see outline in board materials for more information.
