- Thank you to everyone who has helped make phone calls to donors already this month! If you haven’t had a chance to make calls, please be sure to do so by July 27.
- Joe and I have a meeting with a potential $5,000 donor on July 31!
- Over the past month, donors have received an appeal letter – as well as a reminder postcard. The final piece of communication (aside from phone calls) will be emails during the final days of the month.
- Last year, between 7/20 and 7/31, we received 58 non-pledged gifts totaling $13,583 – meaning that this is the time period last year that we exceeded the FY17 goal of $130K to finish the fiscal year at $147K.
2017-2018 Season Tickets
- Songs My Mother Taught Me
- Total: $11,740
- Budgeted: $7,290
- Last year’s total of Songs of Travel: $8,196
- Ticket revenue for this performance will appear under self-bookings in the budget, not ticket revenue.
- Total: $11,740
- Note about overall ticket revenue
- You’ll notice a discrepancy between the bottom line ticket revenue in my report and the number in the YTD financials. Please refer to the YTD financials. The difference comes from the way certain ticket fees are accounted for in the budget. (Some fees are recorded under expenses; some fees aren’t.)

Special Events
- We had a great turn out at the Twins Game on July 6! Cantus sang the national anthem and then joined 19 major donors in the Minnesota Ballpark Authority suite. It was a great way to connect with some of our biggest supporters.
- Cantus All-Stars was a hit! This event took place at FINNEGANS Brew Co. on July 9 and involved 6 Cantus alum performing along side current singers. I heard from multiple donors after the event that they hope to have the chance to attend something similar in the future. Thanks again to Kevin Stocks for establishing the FINNEGANS relationship! FINNEGANS donated the space – as well as free beer all evening.
